Sa Đéc Flower Village, renowned as the floral capital of the Mekong Delta, stands as one of Vietnam\'s largest flower suppliers. Situated in Tân Khánh Đông commune, merely 3 kilometers from the center of Sa Đéc City in Đồng Tháp Province, this village is a vibrant hub of horticultural activity. With a rich history spanning over a century, Sa Đéc has been cultivating flowers, transforming into a popular tourist destination, particularly in the 4 to 5 weeks leading up to Tết, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Spanning hundreds of hectares, the fields are a breathtaking sight, blanketed in vibrant blooms tended by more than 2,000 households. These local families primarily earn their livelihood through the cultivation and sale of flowers and ornamental trees. Due to the region\'s low-lying terrain, much of the land—converted from rice paddies—is prone to flooding. As a result, farmers ingeniously grow flowers on raised platforms. Boats navigate the canals between these platforms, ensuring that the flowers receive the necessary care and watering.
