It is a herbaceous plant with tubular stems and vibrant green leaves, capable of reaching heights of up to 1.8 meters. Harvesting involves using sickles to cut the stalks at their base. The stalks are then cleaned and bundled, often transported by boat or motorbike to collection sites for further processing.
