The rice planting and rice transplanting festival is held once a year during the Dolta ceremony (ancestor worship ceremony) around the end of August and beginning of September of the lunar calendar in the rice field in the grounds of Ro Pagoda. Right after the Ro Pagoda Bull Racing Festival, when the fields have been smoothed and leveled, it is time for people in An Cu commune to go to the fields to plant rice seedlings and transplant rice. Initially, this was simply an agricultural activity mobilizing the participation of all people in the area to contribute to the pagoda. Gradually, it has become a regional festival, a unique cultural activity with many good meanings: solidarity, attachment, mutual love between people and monks, and at the same time showing the optimistic spirit, love of work, love of life of the people here.
