Tra Su Melaleuca Forest is located in Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province, and is one of the most typical and prominent flooded forests in the Southwest region. With an area of over 800 hectares, this place is considered the "green lung" of the That Son region, with both ecological and tourism value. The Melaleuca forest ecosystem is extremely rich, home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna, including many rare birds such as storks, herons, teals, and egrets. Especially, during the flood season (from September to November), the whole forest is covered in a lush green color of duckweed, creating a poetic and unique landscape. When coming to Tra Su, visitors will experience sitting on a motorboat or sampan weaving through small canals, admiring the fresh and quiet natural scenery. The straight rows of Melaleuca trees reflecting on the green water surface and the chirping of birds bring a feeling of peace and closeness. In addition, visitors can climb up to the observation tower to see the vast Melaleuca forest, with the majestic That Son range in the distance. Not only is it an attractive eco-tourism destination, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest also plays an important role in preserving biodiversity and regulating the climate of the entire region. This place is increasingly attracting a large number of domestic and foreign visitors, becoming a symbol of the natural beauty of the West.
