Cu Chi Tunnels is a system of underground tunnels dug by the army and people during the resistance war against France and the US, initially for hiding and sheltering, then expanded into a massive revolutionary base with full functional rooms such as command rooms, infirmaries, and weapons depots, carefully camouflaged, a symbol of Vietnam's "Land of Steel and Bronze". Located about 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi Tunnels is a miniature of the creative and varied battle formations of the army and people of Cu Chi during the long, fierce 30-year resistance war against invaders, gaining independence and freedom for the Fatherland. With its great feat, Cu Chi Tunnels has entered the history of the heroic struggle of the Vietnamese people as a legend of the 20th century and become a famous place in the world. This is a unique war wonder with about 250 km of tunnels spreading like a spider web underground, with works connected to the tunnels such as: trenches, mounds, fighting nests, dining, sleeping, meeting, living, medical, food storage, water wells, Hoang Cam kitchen... The real stories from the tunnels have exceeded human imagination. Just crawl down a section of the tunnel, you will understand why the small country of Vietnam defeated the enemy, one of the largest and richest countries in the world. Why Cu Chi, a poor land, fought for 21 years against an army that was many times larger, good at fighting, equipped with modern, sophisticated weapons and means of war. In this confrontation, the army and people of Cu Chi won a glorious victory. Relying on the system of underground tunnels, fortifications, trenches, soldiers and people of Cu Chi fought extremely bravely, establishing miraculous feats. The US army, when first entering Cu Chi, encountered fierce resistance from the tunnels in the dangerous base area, and had to exclaim: "Underground village", "Dangerous secret base"...
