Every year on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month, the people of Thanh Oai commune (also known as Chuong village), Thanh Oai district, on the outskirts of Hanoi, eagerly organize their village festival. This long-standing festival is summarized in a folk verse: "On the tenth day, go to Chuong market to play. Watch human chess games, watch rice cooking competitions."
