The Dao people typically eat two main meals a day, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is only added during busy harvest seasons. Rice is the staple food for the Dao, and their most common drink is distilled liquor. They also smoke cigarettes and pipe tobacco using traditional pipes or tobacco tubes.
