The Central Committee of the Southern Region, also known as B2, R, or Ông Cụ, was the highest-ranking agency directly leading and directing the revolution in Southern Vietnam. This place is associated with the glorious image of high-ranking leaders of the Central Committee of the Southern Region during the resistance war, such as Nguyễn Văn Linh, Võ Chí Công, Phan Văn Đáng, Phạm Văn Xô, Phạm Thái Bường, etc. The Central Committee of the Southern Region served as the nerve center of the Southern revolution for a long time, directly leading and directing the revolution until the complete liberation. At this base were comrades Nguyễn Văn Linh, Võ Văn Kiệt, Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Lê Duẩn, Phạm Hùng... who led and commanded the resistance wars. In 1990, the Central Committee of the Southern Region historical site was recognized as a historical and cultural relic, and later as a Special National Monument in 2011. Currently, it is a historical tourism destination located in Tân Lập commune, Tây Ninh province.
