In the fields after the harvest, piles of golden straw are stacked high. Farmers, men and women alike, diligently carry heavy loads of straw on their shoulders. Their bare feet leave marks on the dry, hard surface of the field, their shirts soaked with sweat, yet their posture remains strong and resilient. Long rows of straw are carried to the drying yards or piled into large mounds. In the dry, late-harvest sun, amidst the pungent smell of fresh straw, radiant smiles still grace their sun-tanned faces, making the hard work seem full of joy.
