Co almond grass, a unique type of sedge, is a significant element in both the landscape and culture of Duc Hoa district, Tay Ninh province. This plant, deeply interwoven with local life over generations, provides both aesthetic appeal and practical utility. Adapted to the challenging conditions of wetlands, including saline and alum-laden soils, grass is easily identifiable. It is a herbaceous plant with tubular stems and vibrant green leaves, capable of reaching heights of up to 1.8 meters. Harvesting involves using sickles to cut the stalks at their base. The stalks are then cleaned and bundled, often transported by boat or motorbike to collection sites for further processing.
