The Vietnamese national flag has a red background with a five-pointed yellow star in the middle. The red background symbolizes the blood of the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, and at the same time represents the indomitable will of the Vietnamese people to fight. The five-pointed yellow star symbolizes the solidarity of five social classes: intellectuals, farmers, workers, youth and the army - working together to build and protect the country.
