The Cua Viet Bridge, constructed with reinforced concrete, began construction in late 2007 with an investment of over 300 billion VND. It consists of 12 spans, is 806 meters long, 12 meters wide, with a navigable channel width of 50 meters and a height of 7 meters; the approach roads are over 1,000 meters long. Despite challenging weather conditions due to storms and floods, the construction units mobilized maximum resources and personnel to accelerate progress, resulting in the bridge's early completion and commissioning. The opening of the Cua Viet Bridge facilitates convenient boat travel for residents of the coastal areas of Gio Linh and Trieu Phong districts, a practice they have long maintained for generations, contributing to socio-economic development.
