Initially, it was both a place of religious practice and a secret place of activities for patriotic movements such as Dong Du and Duy Tan. The pagoda has a traditional Asian style with curved tiled roofs, brick walls, many horizontal lacquered boards and parallel sentences in Chinese characters. The space inside the pagoda is solemn and simple.
