In the autumn of September, as the whole nation looks forward to the historic September 2nd, I wear a pristine white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), my beloved checkered scarf, and the vibrant red of the national flag, creating a simple yet proud picture. Amidst this rustic setting, white lotus blossoms bloom, symbolizing noble spirit, faith, and love for our homeland. National Day is not only a sacred milestone for the nation, but also an opportunity for each of us to see how small yet connected we are to a happy, peaceful, and vibrant Vietnam.
