On the evening of March 28, 2025, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District (formerly) organized a cultural performance to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City. The event included a tribute to Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy – a daughter of Lien Chieu – for introducing and promoting the image of Lien Chieu and its people to the community both domestically and internationally. When the beauty queen left the stage to sit in the audience, two elementary school students from Lien Chieu District came to present her with flowers and congratulations. Their faces were beaming with joy and happiness.
