Artisans from O Loan commune, Dak Lak province weave sedge at the Dak Lak Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition. "Sedge is cut at 1-2 am to keep it fresh and easy to strip. Then, it is split in half, dried in the sun for 2-3 days, then exposed to dew to help it absorb color when dyeing. After dyeing, it is dried in the sun for another 2-3 days until it is just dry - if it is too dry, the sedge will break." Finally, sedge is used to weave handicraft products with a strong hometown beauty. Besides traditional mats, sedge products are now more diverse, such as: handbags, hats, key chains, decorative items, etc.
