The army and the people are like fish and water. From the time our ancestors defended the country until now, the army and the people have always been together, loving and bound like blood relatives. The people feed the army and protect the soldiers as if they were their own family. The soldiers, in turn, do not shy away from hardship and danger, readily sacrificing themselves to protect the people and their homeland. During wartime, the people and the soldiers shared potatoes and rice. In peacetime, the soldiers help the people build houses, fight storms, rescue people from floods, and bring doctors and nurses to the villages. The bond between the army and the people is not something distant, but a sincere, profound, and invaluable feeling. This close bond has contributed to the miraculous strength of the Vietnamese nation. Even during strenuous parades and training, the soldiers are always enthusiastic about taking photos with the people, always smiling without showing any signs of fatigue.
