Traditional brocade weaving in Cao Bang is primarily associated with the culture of the Tay ethnic group in Luong Noi village, Ngoc Dao commune (Ha Quang district), which has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The unique Tay brocade weaving technique involves creating patterns on the reverse side, expressing cosmic spirit and ethnic identity through motifs on indigo-dyed fabric with dominant colors of blue, red, purple, yellow, black, and white. In addition, the Dao Tien ethnic group also practices brocade weaving, with Na Chan hamlet in Nguyen Binh district being one of the places preserving this tradition.
