The exchange of folk songs on the Bac Luan border river is one of the unique activities on the Vietnam-China border, in Mong Cai and Dongxing, eagerly awaited by the people of both countries and leaving a deep impression on the youth of both nations in particular and border residents in general. This is also a practical activity demonstrating the comprehensive and sustainable cooperative relationship based on the 16-character motto and the spirit of the four "goods" that the leaders of the two Parties, two states, and two localities have diligently cultivated. The folk song exchange also conveys a common message from the youth of both countries to preserve, strengthen, and promote the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China, working together to build the two cities of Mong Cai and Dongxing into peaceful, friendly, cooperative, stable, and developed cities. The 2024 folk song exchange program on the Bac Luan border river received enthusiastic support from the people of both Vietnam and China.
