Who stands under the shade of the coconut trees, with long hair blowing in the wind... Yes! It couldn't be anyone else but the vast green coconut groves, the place that nurtured me as I grew up. The coconut trees grew with me over the years. When talking about Ben Tre, one can't help but think of the beloved image of the coconut tree. Coconuts give us everything: fruit, water, leaves for handicrafts, trunks for wood to build houses... coconuts give us everything but need nothing for themselves. To me, the coconut tree may not speak, but it is my closest friend, growing up with me over the years.
