Traditional boat racing in Da Nang City has achieved very commendable results. Responding to the widespread wishes of the people, many traditional boat races are held throughout the city during major national festivals, such as: the Han River Race on April 30th and National Day on September 2nd, the Khanh Binh Race, the Ba Thu Bon National Intangible Cultural Heritage Race, the Cam Le Race, the Tam Thanh Sea Festival Race, the Duy Nghia Commune Race, the Youth Race in Nam Phuoc Commune, the Ba Tra Linh Festival Race, and the race commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday... The main purpose of these boat races is to bring joy and happiness to the people, improve the health of young people, provide a meaningful and beneficial playground for the youth, connect localities, promote tourism, and attract investment to the area. Alongside the achievements, traditional boat racing also has some limitations. We hope the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will address these issues in the near future. There are policies and conditions in place to help traditional Vietnamese boat racing reach new heights and become a source of spiritual inspiration for the people.
